Belle Costume Really nice, My daughter only wants to wear her Belle Costume now. Only 1 minor problem. One of the velcro fasteners was defective. Lovely, but not made well. I bought this costume for Halloween for my daughter, and took her to a dress-up party the day before. The dress ripped in two places when she fell, and she was extremely upset. I had to mend the dress after a single afternoon's use, because the front stitching of the skirt was extremely poor: one zig-zag hem on polyester, which anyone who sews knows is just ridiculous because polyester frays so easily. They have also not bothered to hem the edges, which is ugly (to me, at least). Nevertheless, once mended this dress has worked really well for my daughter as a playdress, and although some stitches come loose here and there, I have not had to mend it again. I gave the fair rating because the dress is extremely pretty, the colours vibrant, and my daughter absoluetly loves it. We had holiday photos done with it and everything and it looks very luxurious. We also bought the shoes that go with the dress, and they broke ludicrously fast: don't get them, whatever you do! The size comes up small, and the colours are true to the picture. 4-6 just fits, although my daughter is 4 1/2. The hairband that comes with it is very nice, actually. It's a shame there aren't better alternatives for dress-up in the u.s. We got an Aurora dress for Christmas from Mothercare, uk, and that shop does much better quality for the money (£16 for a perfectly good play-dress, which is pretty, just as luxurious and doesn't break as soon you wear it).
