Fun but taste could use work4
This is easy enough for my just turned two year old. It is very similar to an adult Jello no bake process. Add water stir quickly transfer. teaches patience takes 10 min for cake to "rise", we set an egg timer, than we do dishes. Its great im teaching her to cook measure, follow directions, and patience and she has a blast learning these life lessons. down side is it taste weird but she loves the frosting. the frosting packets are good and she loves to lick the frosting off the cake. so really its not a total waste but I think for a toy it is expensive(constant refills) but if you can afford it worth it because has great lessons to teach and most kids will enjoy feeling of making something; but like with any toy its about how much fun you have with the kids playing with it.

Sugar Blobs of Yuck1
My sugar-loving 4 year old even thought it was gross. Weird consistency. We made one 'cake' right when the mix came and have not touched the other mix pack since. Stick with the easy bake oven. You can also find this mix at your local Target for much cheaper.

Refill Pack Hard to Find5
I was delighted to find a vendor who had refill packs for the Disney Cool-Bake Magic Oven. It is impossible to order these packs from the manufacturer, Fun Rise. By chance I was able to locate them on Amazon.com but there were only two available. Hopefully, I will be able to find more so that the oven can continue to be used.
